こんにちは, まいど?
Kon'nichiwa, Maido?
Confused? Why Japanese all of a sudden? Well, don’t blame me but experience it yourself at
The Fatty Bao, in your city. This is one of the best places for Sushi in Bengaluru. This is the effect it left on me after trying their new menu,
which is crafted for all the Sushi lovers. The menu unrolls the traditional Sushi rolls this summer.
We are changing with time and so are we getting innovative with different flavors, techniques, and presentations. I have always been a huge fan of sushi, especially Maki rolls. But this menu which is created by Executive Chef Prashanth has experimented and brought us this 14 unique Sushi to enjoy. This Promotion is for 18 days, and the menu runs through the week over lunch and dinner for the entire duration.
Sushi uses rice and other ingredients, such as vegetables, which are all rolled up in a sheet of nori (seaweed) and sliced into pieces. Now sushi has different variety too for eg. Maki Roll or Oshizushi, Inarizushi, etc.
The chef brings 14 different varieties to the table which has from sandwich sushi to a pita pocket Version to a taco-style one.
Cross Bred Tuna Pizza – Something which just awestruck us! The rice was used as the pizza base and the rest of the ingredients as toppings over it. A must-try. Not to be sad all my vegetarian friends also have the Hybrid Vegetarian Pizza Sushi for us to gorge on some. Vegetarian version with fried asparagus, cream cheese mayo, wakame, crispy nori, avocado, mint tempura, takuan and pickled ginger topping on the sushi rice pizza base; or then order a Cross-bred Tuna Pizza Sushi with yuzu marinated thin slices of tuna, jalapeno, cream cheese mayo, tobiko, fried capers, and mustard cress. Has it already motivated enough to try the menu? If not, read more...
Cross Bred Salmon Taco – Was different where the Nori sheet was deeply fried to give the crunch of the taco. Getting inspired all the way from Mexico and implementing it in a Japanese dish is remarkable. The Inter-house Fried Eggplant Taco Sushi with Chili miso, cucumber, radish, and fried garlic chips or Cross-bred Spicy Salmon Taco Sushi with Sriracha mayo, spicy salmon, yuzu salsa, tobiko, and avocado or the Fried Fish Combo Taco Sushi with Freshly fried fish, jalapeno mayo, orange ponzu, crispy shallots, and cress.
Rainbow Spin Sandwich Sushi – where we’re swapping the sushi mat for a banana leaf, and traditional sushi Sasa Zushi. Anticipate sushi rice with toppings and condiments. It’s awesomeness in every piece. Here you can order a Rainbow Spin Sandwich Sushi with marinated slices of vegetables with sriracha and tomato caviar.
The Pita Pocket Sushi or Inari sushi could very well be the pita pocket’s Japanese cousin. Expect sushi rice wrapped in seasoned, deep-fried tofu pockets. Try The Progressive Vegetarian Pita Pocket Sushi with miso lotus root, smoked spicy tofu, cucumber and sweet potato crisp or the Fiery Shrimp Roll Crossover Pita Pocket Sushi with spicy motoyaki sauce, poached shrimp, tenkasu and cherry radish or then The Liberal Tobimayo Pita Pocket Sushi with crab meat, tobiko mayo, chives, shallots, bonito flakes, avocado, crispy gari and prawn crackers.
“For a meal that seems so simple, sushi seems to intimidate even its most loyal fans. While sushi has morphed into many different forms and shapes around the world, it remains the most popular Japanese food and there’s so much to explore in this delicacy. What we have tried to do with the promotion is to make it more fun and experimenting with different forms, ingredients, flavors hitherto unexplored.”; said Chef Prashanth, Executive Chef, The Fatty Bao.
Recommendation:
1. The Liberal Tobimayo Pita Pocket Sushi - MUST TRY especially if you love crab meat. Slurrrppppp I loved it.
2. Pizza Sushi or the Fiery Shrimp Roll
