Too Maach Bengali Food Festival - Four Point by Sheraton

Too Maach Bengali Food Festival - Four Point by Sheraton

March 13th 2015

As I wrote in my last blog about - foodies never say  "NO to street food" adding to that. they also can never say NO to Rasgulla's :-)

I have been craving to taste the Bengali food from quite sometime and so grabbed an opportunity when I got a call from a friend asking if i wanted to try out the Bengali food festival menu by Four point Sheraton. How could i possibly say NO !

A evening filled with fun, food and few blogger friend's. The chef had actually planned a few activities for us to make it more memorable event. We started off the evening with Pani Puri Making Competition and guess what who won ? MEEEE :-)

From Maach to Nariyel Diye- Cholar Dal and the aromatic Jhol was just too prefect to set the mood right and dig in. Being a Veggie just enjoyed the Bhaji and Dum Aloo with soft Luchi. Apart from the Poshto's they also had varieties of salads and Wok tossed noodles, the sweet and sour vegetables, a grilled vegetable with cherry tomato confit and my all time fav Corn Augratin.

Aloo dum and Luchi, the authentic staple food from kolkata accompanied with the Cholar Dal. we also had Panner dalna and Shaak bhaja which is made of red amaranth leaves, who said tasty food cant be healthy? Topping the dinning experience was the Subz dum biryani which was cooked to perfection with right amount of spices in it.

The Main dish of the evening which unfortunately I couldn't try was the Maach Jhol

Bengali food and no mention of sweets? Never Happens !!

Dessert section was well presented and you would actually want to stand right there and taste each one of them. From Chaner payesh, Kamla bhog, Mishti doi, Kala jamun, Rasgulla and loads more!

You can never stop with one and that is " Rasgulla

So let me also talk about the restaurant which is beautifully designed and the interior is simple and elegant.

Too Maach Bengali Food Festival is on at Four Points by Sheraton, Whitefield from March 11th to March 22nd. Open for dinner from 7 pm to 11 pm. At INR 749 + per person.

My Favorites are the Rasgulla,  Bhaaji, Dum Aloo and Luchi.

Do let me know your experience and your favorites.. Will be waiting ..
